How to Unlock Nexus S Bootloader [Guide]

Nowadays Nexus S is everywhere and is an successful Mobile in the Tech World. It's already available in BestBuy. There are lot's of Users for Nexus S Mobile Phone, but there are so many of them who don't know how to get Root access to this Phone. The new Nexus S Phones are now running on Updated Android 2.3 (GingerBread).



Nexus S bootloader will allow you to go into custom recovery mode so you can install custom ROMs like Cyanogen Mod etc. Just follow the step by step guide below to unlock your new Nexus S bootloader.

NOTE: This unlock performs a factory reset on your Android phone. Be sure to save any data before rooting.

Step 1: Shutdown your Nexus S.

Step 2: Hold down volume up + power

Step 3: Now your device'll get in Standard Recovery Mode.

Step 4: Connect your phone to your PC/Mac via USB Step 5: Type “fastboot oem unlock” if you're connected.

Step 6: Open command prompt (CMD on Windows) or Terminal (For Mac OSX)

Step 7: Enter ‘fastboot devices’ without quotes to check whether your phone is connected via USB

Step 8: Type ‘adb reboot bootloader’
Step 9: Type ‘fastboot oem unlock’

Step 10: Almost done, now use Volume keys to select ‘yes, unlock bootloader’ then use power button to "select option" and your new bootloader will be unlocked now !
And You have successfully Unlocked your Nexus S!

But until now, there is no custom recovery image yet and obviously no custom ROMs but they'll be out very soon.
