Guide: How to Fix 1604, 1601, 1600, 16xx Errors With iREB RC3 during iOS 4.2.1 Custom IPSW Firmware Restore in iTunes [Download, How To]

A new RC version of iREB has been released by iH8snow(Hacker And Developer). iREB RC3 supports all iOS devices running iOS 4.2.1. Most of the iPhone users face some errors(1604, 1601, 1600, 16xx) while IPSW Customm firmware restoring in iTunes which has been created using either Sn0wbreeze or PwnageTool.. iREB RC3 is the tool created to fix the following errors.

How to Fix 1604, 1601, 1600, 16xx Errors with iREB RC3 Errors:

First of all download the Following:

Download iREB RC3 for Windows
Download Latest iTunes for Windows.

Step 1: First of all, Run iTunes and then you have to put your device into DFU Mode, Here's how to:

For iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad
  • First of all,Press and Hold the sleep button for 2 seconds.
  • While holding the sleepbutton,Press the Home button for 10 seconds.
  • Now release the sleep button but continue Holding the home button for about 15 seconds.
For Apple TV 2G:
  • Connect your Apple TV with your Computer via microUSB.
  • Now reboot your Apple TV by holding down Menu + Down buttons together for around 6 seconds.
  • After reboot, immediately hold Menu + Play until you see the message in iTunes saying that Apple TV in recovery mode is detected.
As you Enter DFU Mode you'll see the Following Message:


Step 2: Now Close the iTunes and Run iREB RC3 you downloaded.


Step 3: Now wait Until you see white or a red screen on your iOS device.

Step 4: Now start iTunes again and select your iOS device from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” button (“Shift” button on Windows) on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update”) button in the iTunes and then release the “Shift” button. Select the required custom .ipsw file and restore it.

That’s it! iTunes should now be able to restore your iOS device to the latest iOS 4.2.1 custom firmware without any problems. 
Now you won't see any 16xx errors.
