Yahoo to Launch their first Android-Based Phone in Japan [Report]

There have been reports that Yahoo is considering to launch their first and "Android-Based" Phone in Japan Next Month(September).  And they'll be launching this new phone on the country’s third biggest mobile carrier SoftBank. Yahoo has earned load of fame in Japan and it's now the most  Japan's biggest website, so they are planning to first launch this Phone in Japan.


The phone is manufactured by Sharp and is the rebranded version of the so-called “AQUOS PHONE THE PREMIUM SoftBank 009SH”.

Specifications:
As for the phone, it will be manufactured by Sharp and will have,
  • 4-inch LCD with qHD resolution,
  • Android 2.3
  • 8 megapixel camera with a CMOS sensor,
  • Bluetooth 3.0,
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • microSDHC card slot
  • built-in digital TV tuner
  • An e-wallet function
  • Infrared communications.
And as it's releasing in Japan so it will have some Pre-Installed apps in it like Yahoo Japan Home, Yahoo Japan Auctions, a calendar, dictionary, Yahoo Loco (the company’s LBS), etc.
This Phone will release Next Month in Japan.
