Twitter 2.0 Updated and released for Android - New UI, Bugs Fixes and Faster [Download]

Twitter has launched a new version of its Android app, and is now available for download from the Android Market. What’s new in Twitter 2.0? A brand new UI (user interface) which is easy to use and is more flexible. With realtime search, trending topics and maps, lots of bug fixes and is now a lot faster than before. Twitter update their Android app to match with Twitter app used in iPhone and web apps.

New Features of Twitter 2.0 for Android:

1. Twitter Android 2.0 app brings a new UI, the same dark look as on the Twitter.com website.
2. The header of the app brings quick access to the timeline, mentions, direct messages and lists.
3. You can now edit your profile info right from the app, including your Twitter profile photo.
4. Twitter Android app now scans your contacts on your phone, check their names for their Twitter IDs and show them all in a list for you to follow people you know.
5. Twitter for Android 2.0 is now a lot faster than the previous versions.
6. Twitter has also added the ability to use the app without signing in. This gives users the ability to browse the Twitterverse without the need to sign up, though Twitter has also added that option, too.
