Windows Phone 7 more update features - Full backup and Restore of the device

Miscrosoft has just confirmed in their Windows Phone Radio podcast that Coming update of Windows Phone 7 will have Backup and restore functionality. Microsoft has already said in the CES that next update of Windows Phone 7 will be coming in weeks. so we are not too far away from Backup and restore functionality in the Windows Phone 7 including copy paste and other features.

Matt Akers, program manager on the Zune software client team confirmed this:

“any time that we prepare to do an update, which you guys will see soon, we will make a backup of your phone. The entire phone, everything on it.”

The Zune software making a full back-up of the user files and settings, which will be restored to the device after the update. The Zune software will also keep this backup, in case things go wrong and the user wishes to roll back to a previous version of the OS (which may be useful for unlockers and hackers for example).
