Windows Phone 7 Market Place now surpasses 25,000 Apps [Report]

According to new reports of Windows Phone Market Place, It has been discovered that there are now almost 25,000 App available for WP7 Devices. According to windowsphoneapplist.com the count of Apps in US WP7 Market Place are 25,017 while worldwide there are 24,784 applications as tracked by WP7Applist.

WP7Applist have shared the complete statistics of WP7 Market Place, So here's how it is.

So Right now there are almost 24,784 applications worldwide, while 4,025 of them are inactive, 51% are available for free. It has been estimated that the Paid Apps have an Average Price of $1.48 (Much more than iOS App Store). Microsoft has achieved this much of success in 263 days from when the application store was launched. They added almost 300 Apps in an single month that is April reaching 15,000 Mark. According to Microsoft, it now has over 40,000 Windows Phone application developers, who deliver an average of 100 new apps per day. Number of Approved Developers in Market place is almost 7000.


This has been an great achievement for Microsoft but still it can't be compared with Apple's iOS Apps Store. It has recently been reported that there are now almost 100,000 Apps only Available for iPad and there is a total of 400,000+ Apps available for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. If you wondered how long it took Apple to reach 25,000 apps – it took 238 days.

But according to recent reports, Microsoft has now an contract with Nokia so this might give them a good time. Nokia said recently that it plans to ship Windows Phone branded devices to developers when they are available later this year.
